A tremendous athlete, Sonnier lettered in track running winter and spring track where he finished first in nationals in 4 x 2 and 4 x 4, ran open 400 meters, 200 meters, 300 meter hurdles, and he competed in summer with the well known “Track Xplosion” team.

He scored a second round TKO which brought fans to their feet. On April 27, 2017 “ACE” displayed a new weapon, a powerful right hand, on way to his second pro win via a second round stoppage.
Sonnier is an extremely articulate athlete with a bright future. Some local media have labeled him “The Chosen One.”
Had amateur boxing record of 33-8 in 141 and 152 pound weight classes. One of the more proven North Carolina amateurs, he got into boxing at the age of 19. An excitable young man, he needed a more positive way to channel his energy and make his love ones proud. Boxing has blessed him with a way to build character and discipline.
